February 11, 2010 - Teddy Bear and Friends magazine - The Bearington Collection recently won five Teddy Bear of the Year (TOBY) Industry's Choice Awards.  Award recipients are chosen annually by a panel of plush industry experts assembled and sponsored by Teddy Bear and Friends magazine.   The Bearington Collection's entry Holly N. Ivy, was voted an Industry's Choice Winner in the Small Manufactured Bear.  Giant Nicholas Northpole and Lots of Love Bug won in the Large Manufactured Bear; Buster won in the Large Manufactured Bear; and Fifi and Piggywinkle Toeshoes won in the Manufactured Play Bear Category.  Five Industry's Choice Winners in each of the 12 categories were selected by the panel of experts, which included collectible and plush toy retailers and artists.

TOBY Industry's Choice Awards also serve as nominations in the Public's Choice contest.  A full list of this year's TOBY recipients, and the ballot the public will use to vote for the Public's Choice Winners, will appear in the Summer issue of the magazine, available in April.  This is the 21st year that Teddy Bear and Friends magazine has sponsered these prestigious awards.
